From 1956 to today: a lifelong story
LOFRA was founded in 1956 by the Lovato brothers, who, immediately after the war, started their business making pots and pans from materials recovered from war surplus. Over time, their production evolved from camping stoves to space heaters, and finally to stainless steel gas cookers for domestic use, designed to complement everyday family life.
The Generational Change
The real turning point came in the mid-1980s when management and control of the company passed to the founding partners' children, who finally managed to give the company its initial organizational and managerial structure, a true innovation in the industrial landscape of northeastern Italy at the time.
During those years, the company grew, placing particular emphasis on the quality of its finished products through market research and analysis, and consolidating its leadership in the production of high-quality cookers and ovens for the high-end market.
Among the projects developed by Lofra: the Free-Standing products, the innovative Curva line – kitchens with a curved front design protected by a Community and international patent -, the Up & Down double vertical oven, the Professional range of kitchens and the built-in line of ovens and hobs (Built-in).
''Nuova Lofra' and the Commitment to Italian Quality
Since early 2010, the historic brand has continued its operations under the name "Nuova Lofra" and new management. The new management's primary goal was to restore Lofra kitchen production to the highest standards, promoting high-quality construction, rigorously Made in Italy.
